Some irrelevant facts about me...

  • I suffer from (kidding- actually I enjoy) synesthesia. To save you Googling the term synesthesia: I hear colors and see sounds. Not to the extent that it debilitates or even distracts me. Just enough that life is more interesting.
  • I produce recording artists because I meet the most interesting people who communicate personal stories with melody and rhythm.
  • One of my hobbies is music history. Did you know that Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" was mixed 91 times by the engineer- but the record company finally settled on "mix 2". Don't you just love revisions?
  • I deejayed on a pop radio station while in college. The midnight-shift request line callers were my favorite part of that job. Some of them were stalkers. That was pretty exciting.

Why should you work with Ray Norman?

“During the course of my career, I have recorded audiobooks, commercials, and public service announcements on an almost constant basis.  I have worked with studios and their best sound engineers in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago, and Dallas.  Ray Norman is by far the greatest combination of talent and skill with whom I have ever had the privilege of working. When a project must be completed perfectly and on time, Ray Norman is always my first choice. Always.”
